The Ooni Digital Infrared Thermometer is a laser-guided, non-contact surface thermometer designed specifically for use with Ooni pizza ovens. It is calibrated for use with the cordierite baking stones used inside Ooni ovens and reads surface temperatures across a range of -30°C to 550°C (-22°F to 999°F), accurate to within the larger of 2% or 4°F. The full-colour LCD display delivers a temperature reading in under 300 milliseconds, and the display offers both a numerical temperature readout and a colour-coded temperature ring that changes based on the current reading, allowing you to see at a glance whether the stone is at the right temperature to launch a pizza. The thermometer weighs 0.20 kg and measures 8.4 cm × 4.7 cm × 20.3 cm.

Knowing the stone temperature before launching a pizza is one of the most important steps in achieving a consistent result. An Ooni stone that reads below 400°C will undercook the pizza base; a stone that has been adequately preheated to 450°C–500°C delivers the high-heat contact the base needs to cook through in 60 seconds. The thermometer is equally useful between successive pizzas — Temperature Scan Mode records the minimum, maximum and average temperature of the stone surface in a single scan, allowing you to check whether the stone has recovered sufficient heat before launching the next pizza. The emissivity is preset for Ooni cordierite baking stones but is adjustable to accurately read the temperature of other materials including steel and cast iron, making it useful for checking the temperature of the Grizzler Plate and other cast iron accessories as well.

Laser-guided spot measurement: A built-in laser pointer allows precise targeting of any specific zone on the baking stone, so you can check the temperature of the front, centre or rear of the stone independently to identify hot and cool spots.
Temperature range of -30°C to 550°C: While most infrared thermometers reach a maximum reading of around 370°C (700°F), the Ooni thermometer reads up to 550°C (999°F) — high enough to measure an Ooni stone at full operating temperature.
Colour-coded temperature ring display: A 12-segment colour ring on the LCD display changes colour based on the current temperature reading, giving an immediate visual indication of whether the stone is below, approaching, or at the ideal baking temperature.
Temperature Scan Mode: Scan Mode records the minimum, maximum and average surface temperatures of the stone in one sweep, useful for checking heat distribution and recovery between successive cooks.
Under 300 millisecond response time: The LCD display delivers a temperature reading in under 300 milliseconds — fast enough to check the stone quickly mid-session without removing the peel or disrupting the cooking process.
Preset emissivity for Ooni cordierite stones: The thermometer arrives calibrated for the emissivity of Ooni's cordierite baking stones for the most accurate possible stone readings, with an adjustable emissivity setting for reading other materials such as steel and cast iron.
Backlit LCD screen: The display is backlit and readable in both low light and direct sunlight, practical for outdoor cooking sessions in varying light conditions.
Removable hang loop and ergonomic handle: A detachable aluminium hang loop attaches to Ooni table hooks for convenient storage between uses, and the contoured handle with padded trigger is designed for comfortable single-handed use.
Batteries included: Supplied with 2 AAA Duracell batteries, providing approximately five hours of continuous use.
