Generations of Excellence
Importeco was founded in 1984 by Theo ter Haar, who built the company on a simple vision: to bring world-class kitchen craftsmanship and unparalleled personal service to Portugal. Over the decades, that passion transformed a local business into the region’s premier destination for custom kitchen design. In 2007, the family legacy continued when Theo’s son, Edwin ter Haar, took the helm. Under Edwin's leadership, Importeco has embraced cutting-edge culinary technology while firmly maintaining the core values of trust, integrity, and deep expertise that his father established. We treat every client's home as if it were our own, delivering tailored solutions that perfectly balance timeless aesthetics with modern practicality.

by Our In-House Team
Precision Installation
A luxury kitchen is only as good as its installation. That is why we never outsource our labor. Every Importeco kitchen is fitted by our owndedicated, highly trained in-house installation team—many of whom have been perfecting their craft with us for decades. Our craftsmen understand the technical precision required for high-end European cabinetry and complex integrated appliances. From seamless countertop alignment to precise plumbing and electrical integration, our team manages the entire process with the utmost care. Please note: While our team always cleans up their working materials and leaves your new kitchen tidy, major renovation and construction projects naturally generate fine dust. For a pristine, move-in-ready finish, building sites will still require a final deep clean by a professional cleaning team, which is a service we do not provide.
